**If you want to read my story from the beginning read part 1 and part 2.
In late November 2013 we visited with a new OBGYN and to my surprise, I really liked this new doctor! He looked at our past test results and once again told us everything looked great, except for my progesterone levels. I had scored a 7; but it should have been at least 10 or higher. Since this test was lower than it should have been I was scheduled for another progesterone test a few days later.
At our consultation the doctor also informed us that we should consider having a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). It is a test to check if your fallopian tubes are open and runs about $600 – $1500. After much discussion I decided to start on clomid for days 3-7. If we don’t get a Big Fat Positive (BFP) after a few months we will have the HSG test done.
My second progesterone test results came in at 13.6, which was substantially higher than the 7 I scored initially. Since my test scores were good, our doctor said we are now considered to have unexplained fertility (assuming the HSG test comes back positive). We will keep trying the Clomid for now and see what happens.
